When should we arrive and depart?

A: The booking week is from Saturday to Saturday. Arrival time is 4.00pm if you plan to arrive after 7.00pm please let us know in advance. Departure time is 10.00am.

What about getting around?

A: We strongly advise renting a car during your stay. A car is essential for getting around the area, visiting Siena, Florence and the attractions in the Chianti region. We recommend you ask for a diesel car.

Are the prices per person or for the whole property?

A: The prices quoted are for the property – the villa and the Leonardo apartment.

Are you insured?

A: We carry significant Public Risk insurance in case of accident or injury related to the property. We advise that normal care should be taken, particularly with children in the pool area and with the stream.

Is there a swimming pool?

A: Yes, there is a swimming pool - it is 14x7 meters and has a diving board. It is 2.3 meters at its deep point. the pool is open from May until the 15th October.

Are linen and towels provided or do I need to bring my own?

A: Yes, linen and towels are provided and are included in the price displayed. Pool towels are provided.

Is there a telephone, internet, email connection available?

A: A landline is connected to the villa. We also have ADSL internet with wireless (Laptop PC and printer available at no cost for normal internet access). The telephone account is read on arrival and departure and any costs deducted from the deposit.

Mobile/cell phone reception?

A: The signal from most providers is not good in the Chianti Hills. It is good in the towns but at the villa it is weak but some reception is usually available.

Is the central heating included in the price?

A: No, the central heating is by consumption when required, normally only during the winter months.

How far to local grocery store, pharmacy, ATM etc?

A: Most essentials are available within 3km in Gaiole in Chianti.

Where can we rent bicycles?

A: Bicycles are available for rent in Radda in Chianti – 6km.

Are there walking tracks?

A: Yes, a contour map showing marked walks is available at the villa or from the Tabbachi.

How far are the airports?

A: Florence 1 1/4 hours, Pisa 1 ½ hours, Bologna 2 hours, Rome 3 hours – but allow more time for things beyond your control like roadworks, traffic jams.

Where do I find the directions to the villa?

A: The directions will be confirmed in your final confirmation email. They can also be found on this website.

If necessary, how do we contact emergency services?

A: Phone numbers for medical, police, fire etc are at the villa.

Are pets allowed?

A: Sorry no pets.
